I’m not a big fan of reading, but the Oola book changed it for me. Oola is finding balance and freedom in 7 different areas of your life. Faith, Fitness, Finance, Field, Family, Friends, and Fun. Here’s a few words from their book on what Oola is!
“Oola is a place we all shoot for. It’s the place where the major areas of our life, are balanced, strong, and growing. We’re achieving what we want to achieve. And we’re moving forward from where we are to where we want to be. Oola is that ultimate destination where everything just works. Life is manageable, fun, fulfilling and stress-free. But more than just a positive state of being, Oola is also the euphoria you feel when you celebrate success, or visit an exotic place. You revel in sheer joy and wonder of the moment. That’s Oola. It’s living an inspired life – one that you define. What the world says you should want, pursue, have or own makes no difference. It’s what you want that matters most. And what’s even more exciting is that, in the pursuit of Oola, you’ll likely become a different person. The process willl change you into someone who is more authentic and more honoring of your own needs – versus constantly suppressing who you are and what you want because it doesn’t fit the worlds definition of who you should be. The planet would be a very boring place if everyone were the same. Don’t be like anyone else. Stay true to your own self instead.”
I know i’m only 16, but I’ve learned that as you get older, life gets busier and you don’t have the time to do some of the things you used to. I’m focusing on prioritizing what’s important in life now so that that’ll become a routine and a foundation for the future. I wanna challenge you guys to start doing the same thing, no matter where you’re at in life.
1 Timothy 4:12 is a verse i try to live by. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” So good!
Trying to find balance in your life might seem like a struggle at first, but you will find freedom eventually. This book has helped so much! There’s a quote that says:
“Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it. Right is right even if nobody is doing it”
We will never influence the world by being like it. We’re called to stand out, be different, do what’s right. Jesus was called crazy & radical because he lived in direct contrast to the world. He wants us to find that balance and glorify him!
If any of you guys don’t have this book, or are like me, and don’t like reading, or even if you do have the book, but haven’t read it in awhile, I wanna challenge you guys to get it and start reading it. It’s seriously a game changer and you will benefit SO much from it! It’s freaking good stuff, you guys!
Thanks for reading, friends! If you have any questions or comments or anything, feel free to let me know!
